Upper Dolpo Trek / Dolpo Trekking / Dolpo Trek in Nepal, Upper Dolpo is situated in the western region of Nepal; it lies to the north of the Dhaulagiri range and the border side of Tibet.
As you know this is the remote area of Nepal and that’s why hidden destination in far west where Nepal’s most tranquil and natural beauty is still unexplored.

Here you can see unspoiled trans-Himalayan culture. This region is basically a Buddhist region and that’s the reason here are many Buddhist monuments. This region is one of the highest places in the world, with unique human civilization at high altitude is worth visiting.
This is well preserved eco-system of plants and wildlife. Here you can get different kind of flora and fauna. Here are many types of wild animal like snow leopard, blue sheep, great Tibetan sheep, musk deer and Tibetan horse, here is difficult to grow crops which make local life difficult. In this region most of the people are involved in the salt trade from Tibet or the hardy highlanders of the dolpo are traders,

This trek begins with “jhupal” and it follows the trail to “dunai” on the way of crossing many places like Tarakot, Bangle camp, this is the highest point of this trek, and after that this trek passing through the “Sanu Bheri’ village, we reach the beautiful  “phoksundo lake” which is the dippiest  lake in the Nepal, this is a part of the “sheyphoksundo national park”.
The scenes and the view of this trek is one of the most rewarding moments and unforgettable moments of your life. It has a surreal beauty and stunning charm. This region is geographically and culturally similar to mustang, upper dolpo’s unique desert this trek also called the Nepal Himalaya pilgrimage trekking and hidden valley trek created by guru rinpoche. The first part of this trek is not so difficult but the scenery begins to change with the hills becoming shades of brown, red and the gray, eventually trekkers can hear prayer flag fluttering at the top of the pass. This upper dolpo trek is one of the hardest treks in Nepal; this trek is suitable for those who are mentally and exceptionally prepaid to face the challenge of the Himalayan wilderness.
