Chitwan National Park Tour (9 Days)

Chitwan National Park Tour Chitwan national park is situated in southwestern of Nepal and covers 932 sq. km. This is Nepal’s first famous national park for the wildlife safaris. You can see wild elephant; white footed gaur (the world’s largest wild cattle), leopards, wild boar, sloth bear and several species of deer including the spotted, barking, samber and hog deer.

It is the home of the one-horned rhinoceros and harbors one of the largest populations of the exclusive and rare Royal Bengal tigers. The swampy areas and numerous ox-bow lakes are a prefect for marsh crocodiles. The park hosts 450 species of birds. The Tharu people who have unique cultural traditions. In Chitwan there are many hotels inside and outside of the park. Usually visitors spend 3 days and 2 nights, but it is also possible to stay longer if you desire.

Program Itinerary (Short)

Day 01: Arrivals in Kathmandu airport receipt and transfer to Hotel O/N Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley (Pasupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa,Patan durbar squire O/N Hotel Kathmandu.
Day 03: Early morning Mountain flight, after lunch sightseeing Monkey temple (swyambunath stupa and Kathmandu Durbar squire O/N Hotel Kathmandu.
Day 04 Drive to Trisuli River at starting point and begin rafting
Half-day of action packed rafting down the Trisuli River . Trisuli River may not offer extreme challenges for those experienced and thrill seeking paddlers, but it offers an easy float to some exciting rapids every now and then. Trisuli is good for those who have short time and want to sock in the Himalayan River while traveling to Chitwan Jungle Park safari or to Pokhara city Annapurna Trekking. It is perfect for first time rafters to experience white water rafting and families looking for easy river trips. The panoramic view along the river is superb O/N Chitwan National Park O/N Hotel.

Chitwan Activities
Chitwan Jungle activities : Elephant Ride / Cannoning / Village Tour / Jungle Walk / Bird Watching / Visit to Elephant Breading Center / Slide Show / Tharu Cultural Dance
Day 07 Kathmandu
After Breakfast drive back to Kathmandu by tourist coach. It takes 5 hours on the highway, evening transfer to Hotel overnight
Day 08 Kathmandu Sightseeing
Free day at Kathmandu O/N Hotel
Day 09 Departure
Transfer to Airport for the final departure.

Excellent quality: the tourist guide and services were above expectations extremely friendly and very helpful. Chitwan National park tour, Very nice fun and very good guides, Accommodation were also very good, overall very nice and pleasant tour.

*We (my wife and me) have just done the 21 day Everest 3 High Pass trek,April 28th 2011 to May 19th 2011. The views were fantastic, clear skies and panoramic views of the Himalaya's. An especially perfect day when we crossed the Khongma –LaPass (5335m) which we enjoyed very much and we have to say thank you to Himal (owner of the Visit Himalaya Treks) and also our great guide Rajan and porter Tilachan who were both very supportive and professional throughout the whole trip. We appreciated their smiling faces and friendliness each day. Rajan seemed to have a very good relationship with all of the lodge owners and staff which made us comfortable. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased Katie and I were with our trek of the Annapurna Circuit. “Thank you Himal” and your staff went out of your way from the very beginning to ensure that we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our trip. You presented all the information we needed in a very professional and easy to understand manor. You picked us up at the Airport and then made sure we were settled into our Hotel in Kathmandu before briefing us on what to expect for the next few days. Your \"city/cultural\" staff were very knowledgeable about the sites we visited in and around town and made sure we got to enjoy all the town has to offer. Before the trek our gear was inspected and checked to make sure we had everything necessary and we were introduced to our guide Rajan at a breifing the evening before we departed for our Trek. On the trek both our guide and porter did an amazing job of keeping us safe, informing us about things of geographical and cultural interest, and making sure we were having FUN ! I can\'t tell you how fortunate we felt having them with us.
