Numbur Himal Dudhkunda cultural trail trek
Dudhkunda (4560m) is a Holy mountain lake in the lap of Mt NumburHimal, a popular trekking destination of SoluKhumbu District. The trek to Dudhkunda starts from Phaplu. Dudhkunda which literally means the lake of milk is said to be a sacred lake and revered by the local people. It is believed that taking a dip into this holy lake fulfills one’s wishes. During the full moon nights in August, the pilgrims and Jhakries (Shaman priests or wizard) throng on the premises of the lake and celebrate the festival for a week.
We have two kinds of trekking under this trek. If you have limited time, you can only trek around the Dudhkundalake. Another trekking that offers the trekking to other places is the combine trekking. The combine trek offers not only the natural beauty of the surroundings, but also the distinct cultures and traditions of rustic settlements of KhalingRai and Sherpa. With the end of the human settlements, the trek goes back to Salleri through dense forests of Rhododendron. Where you can enjoy the wildlife.
Trekking in the eastern part of Nepal provides the trekker with a wide range of wilderness and cultural encounters especially in the Everest region. This region is the best trekking place for those who want adventures and view of highest peaks. And for those who want middle ground trekking, then we have Solu’s new trekking trails: Dudhkunda-Pikey Cultural trails.

Day 01: Arrival in Thribhuwan international airport receipt and transfer to Hotel O/N Hotel
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley/ Pasupatinath/Boudhanath/Patan durbar squire and evening trekking brief O/N Hotel Ktm.
Day 03: Flight Kathmandu to Phaplu 2470m(35min) meets staff and trek to Salleri O/N Camp.
Day 04: After breakfast trek to Junbesi (5-6 hours) O/N Camp
Day 05: After breakfast trek to Thupthenchholing-Sengeephuk (7-8 hours) O/N Camp.
Day 06: After breakfast trek to Bsa Khola-Beni (8-9 hours) O/N Camp.
Day 07: After breakfast trek to Dudhkunda 4190m (4-5 hours) O/N Camp.
Day 08: After breakfast trek to Takshindu (6-7 hours) O/N Camp.
Day 09: Free day at Takshindu (Explore mansatery) O/N Camp.
Day 10: After breakfast trek to Phaplu (6-7 hurs) O/N Camp.
Day 11: After breakfast fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel O/N Hotel Ktm
Day 12: Free day at Kathmandu O/N Hotel
Day 13: Transfer to airport for final departure.

Bhutan Tour,
Excellent quality: the tourist guide and services were above expectations extremely friendly and very helpful. Chitwan National park tour, Very nice fun and very good guides, Accommodation were also very good, overall very nice and pleasant tour.

The guide and porter were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall the tour was very nice and pleasant.

I really enjoyed my stay in Nepal. The nature is unbelievable beautiful. The trek absolutely is doable in those 12 days Jomsom Muktinath trek.
Rajan is a very nice guy. He's doing his job very well, always takes care of me. Kabi is amazing carrying my luggage. I still don't know how he can do this. If he could speak a little better English then I'm sure he's a fun guy to have around. I can totally recommend Visit Himalaya Treks.

We have just returned from 23 days (October 01-2011 to October 23-2011) on trek with Himal and his team, taking in both Dhaulagiri and Annapurna base camps. This was our third trek with Himal and it was every bit as special as the others. His organization, attention to detail and real care for his clients and the porters are excellent. It is an indication of our complete satisfaction with Visit Himalaya Treks that we are already discussing with Himal another trek for next October.
