Mera peak climbing & Trekking is a great trek in with respect to its geographical location. When you embrace this trekking, you can see Sherpas grazing yaks, cooking their meal on the fire of yak’s dung. One can view how a simple and thus happy life they are leading even in the geographically constraints regions. Porters, who are amiable and polite, not carry food, necessary equipments and good to the trekking but also make your trek an interesting and rich with their simple and happy way of living.
Mera Peak is the highest peak among the permitted "Trekking Peaks" in Nepal. The trek begins by flying into the heart of the Himalaya in the village of Lukla. From here you will cross a high pass into a remote valley and steadily acclimate, as you have to move toward base camp & establish a high camp on the glacier from where you will attempt the summit.
The first ascent was made on May 20, 1953 by Col. Jimmy Roberts and SenTenzing. When you will be on top of the peak and if the weather is clear, you can view the 5 highest mountains out of 14 highest mountains of the world, like Mt. Everest, Mt. Kangchenjunga, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Mt. Cho Oyo. By its standard route from the Mera La, the ascent is technically straightforward; however, if the mazes of crevasses open due to heavy snow fall, the way becomes challenging. The most rewarding aspect of a trip to Mera is a chance to venture into a little-visited and unspoiled region of Nepal where the hillsides are still covered with the dense forest. There is also, of course, the pleasure of going above 6.000m.
There are many approaches to Mera; some are easy and some are difficult. Often dubbed as the finest viewpoints of Nepal, this trek offers the trekkers magnificent and spectaculars sceneries. This is the perfect trip for the mountaineer who wants to make the most of his / her Himalayan adventure by living in unique culture and climbing in traditional Himalayan alpine style.
A Sherpa guide (Sirdar) and cook team will make your trek easy. We spend a great deal of time for acclimatization. We help to build your basic mountaineering skills on the glacier prior to climb.
