Chulu west Peak Climbing in Nepal. (22 Days)
Chulu west Peak Climbing in Nepal.
Chulu West 5450m) is one of the strenuous treks among Two Chulus (East and West), Chulu West is the higher peak. This peak is climbed at first by the Japanese Expedition team in 1952. It lies in a small valley north of Manang, goes through the main trail of the Thorong La. There are no technical difficulties in ascending these peaks but the progress can be slow as the slopes are vulnerable to avalanches in certain conditions.
It can be felt some kind of difficulties while climbing to the north-west shoulder of Chulu west 5450 meters but there is another camp can be established as an alternative camp on snow capped plateau above 5,530 meters. While you are ready for the climbing, the every kinds of climbing equipments have been already fixed by your climbing assistance to accomplish your adventure dream. Finally you are overwhelmed placing your footsteps at the altitude of 6,419 meters in the summit. Then you are descended following same route.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu airport receipt and transfer
to Hotel O/n Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing on Kathmandu valley O/n Hotel Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive to Bhulbule via Besisahar o/n Bhulbule (7-8 hours drive)
Day 04: Trek to Syange (1100m) O/n Syange
Day 05: Trek to Tal (1700m) O/n Tal
Day 06: Trek to Danakyu (2300m) O/n Danakyu.
Day 07: Trek to Chhame (2670m) O/n Chhame.
Day 08: Trek to Pisang (3200m) O/n Pisang.
Day 09: Trek to Manang (3540m) O/n Manang.
Day 10: Acclimatization day at Manang O/n Manang.
Day 11: Trek to Chulu west Base Camp 4000m O/n Camp.
Day 12: Acclimatization day at Base camp O/n Base camp.
Day 13: Trek Chulu west high camp 5000m O/n Camp.
Day 14: Summit Chulu west 6419m and back to Base camp O/n Camp.
Day 15: Chulu west base camp to Thorong Phedi (4450m) O/n Thorong Phedi.
Day 16: Cross Thorong – Pass (5416m) and continue to Muktinath (3800m) O/n Muktinath.

Excellent quality: the tourist guide and services were above expectations extremely friendly and very helpful. Chitwan National park tour, Very nice fun and very good guides, Accommodation were also very good, overall very nice and pleasant tour.

I really enjoyed my stay in Nepal. The nature is unbelievable beautiful. The trek absolutely is doable in those 12 days Jomsom Muktinath trek.
Rajan is a very nice guy. He's doing his job very well, always takes care of me. Kabi is amazing carrying my luggage. I still don't know how he can do this. If he could speak a little better English then I'm sure he's a fun guy to have around. I can totally recommend Visit Himalaya Treks.

We have just returned from 23 days (October 01-2011 to October 23-2011) on trek with Himal and his team, taking in both Dhaulagiri and Annapurna base camps. This was our third trek with Himal and it was every bit as special as the others. His organization, attention to detail and real care for his clients and the porters are excellent.
