During 13 trips to Nepal, my husband and I mostly did teahouse trekking without guides and porters, due to some bad experiences in the past. All that changed in 2012 when we asked Himal at visithimalayastrek.com to organise our 21 day teahouse trek in the Kachenjunga region. We wanted a guide who came from that area and spoke Tibetan. Himal himself proved to be calm, capable and exceptionally good at getting us into and out of remote places with a minimum of fuss. Likewise, our guide Mingma Bhote and porter Lakpa Bhote couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful, useful and able to deal with the unexpected. We enjoyed our Kachenjunga trek so much that we kept the same happy team for another 20 days. This time we did Manaslu and Tsum valley as a teahouse trek. Again, Mingma’s ability to speak Tibetan - and cook delicious food when necessary - was exceptionally useful. Both Mingma and Lakpa were only too pleased to help us learn some Nepali and Tibetan which added another dimension to our trip. I cannot recommend this company highly enough

Dear Himal and Team, Hope you are doing well. Thanks for great trekking arrangement.Excellent. Very professional organisation lead by Himal and a great guide in Hari. The organisation was awesome, couldn't have asked for more, and for a fraction of the price of using a UK/European based company. Hari (our guide) was also top class and reacted to situations as they occured (plane crashes, bad weather, altitude sickness). He looked after us a lot when in the mountains. I would recommmend Visit Himalaya Treks, Himal and Hari to anyone considering a trek in the Everest region. I don't have any experience of trekking with this company in other regions but i'm sure the service would be equally first class. Thanks very much to Hari and Himal for a awesome few weeks in Nepal.

My husband and I just returned from a month stay in Nepal, taking the 17-day trek to Everest Base Camp and an 8-day drive-in and fly out tour of Tibet. We have nothing but high praise for Himal and his staff for their attention to detail in arranging everything, providing wonderful guides to ensure we were successful in all our ventures, keeping us well informed, and the personal touch by having us to his home for a celebration dinner. Even with flight delays from Lukla they came through by using their clout to get us on an earlier flight or for sure we would have been stuck in Lukla for another day. His company delivered on everything as advertised and exceeded all our expectations. Pasang, our trekking guide, did a wonderful job of educating us regarding the land, the people, and the majestic mountains. Because of the excellent service Visit Himalaya Treks provided us we would recommend this comany to anyone considering a visit to Nepal. I really enjoyed my stay in Nepal. The nature is unbelievable beautiful. The trek absolutely is doable in those 12 days Jomsom Muktinath trek.
Rajan is a very nice guy. He's doing his job very well, always takes care of me. Kabi is amazing carrying my luggage. I still don't know how he can do this. If he could speak a little better English then I'm sure he's a fun guy to have around. I can totally recommend Visit Himalaya Treks.

We have just returned from 23 days (October 01-2011 to October 23-2011) on trek with Himal and his team, taking in both Dhaulagiri and Annapurna base camps. This was our third trek with Himal and it was every bit as special as the others. His organization, attention to detail and real care for his clients and the porters are excellent. Bhutan Tour,
Excellent quality: the tourist guide and services were above expectations extremely friendly and very helpful. Chitwan National park tour, Very nice fun and very good guides, Accommodation were also very good, overall very nice and pleasant tour.

trek,April 28th 2011 to May 19th 2011. The views were fantastic, clear skies
and panoramic views of the Himalaya's. An especially perfect day when we
crossed the Khongma –LaPass (5335m) which we enjoyed very much and we have
to say thank you to Himal (owner of the Visit Himalaya Treks) and also
our great guide Rajan and porter Tilachan who were both very supportive and
professional throughout the whole trip. We appreciated their smiling faces
and friendliness each day. Rajan seemed to have a very good relationship

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased Katie and I were with our trek of the Annapurna Circuit. “Thank you Himal” and your staff went out of your way from the very beginning to ensure that we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our trip. You presented all the information we needed in a very professional and easy to understand manor. You picked us up at the Airport and then made sure we were settled into our Hotel in Kathmandu before briefing us on what to expect for the next few days. Your \"city/cultural\" staff were very knowledgeable about the sites we visited in and around town and made sure we got to enjoy all the town has to offer. Before the trek our gear was inspected and checked to make sure we had everything necessary and we were introduced to our guide Rajan at a breifing the evening before we departed for our Trek. On the trek both our guide and porter did an amazing job of keeping us safe, informing us about things of geographical and cultural interest, and making sure we were having FUN ! I can\'t tell you how fortunate we felt having them with us.

Likewise, our guide Mingma Bhote and porter Lakpa Bhote couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful, useful and able to deal with the unexpected. We enjoyed our Kachenjunga trek so much that we kept the same happy team for another 20 days. This time we did Manaslu and Tsum valley as a teahouse trek. Again, Mingma’s ability to speak Tibetan - and cook delicious food when necessary - was exceptionally useful. Both Mingma and Lakpa were only too pleased to help us learn some Nepali and Tibetan which added another dimension to our trip. I cannot recommend this company highly enough

The organisation was awesome, couldn't have asked for more, and for a fraction of the price of using a UK/European based company. Hari (our guide) was also top class and reacted to situations as they occured (plane crashes, bad weather, altitude sickness). He looked after us a lot when in the mountains. I would recommmend Visit Himalaya Treks, Himal and Hari to anyone considering a trek in the Everest region. I don't have any experience of trekking with this company in other regions but i'm sure the service would be equally first class. Thanks very much to Hari and Himal for a awesome few weeks in Nepal.

My husband and I just returned from a month stay in Nepal, taking the 17-day trek to Everest Base Camp and an 8-day drive-in and fly out tour of Tibet. We have nothing but high praise for Himal and his staff for their attention to detail in arranging everything, providing wonderful guides to ensure we were successful in all our ventures, keeping us well informed, and the personal touch by having us to his home for a celebration dinner. Even with flight delays from Lukla they came through by using their clout to get us on an earlier flight or for sure we would have been stuck in Lukla for another day. His company delivered on everything as advertised and exceeded all our expectations. Pasang, our trekking guide, did a wonderful job of educating us regarding the land, the people, and the majestic mountains. Because of the excellent service Visit Himalaya Treks provided us we would recommend this comany to anyone considering a visit to Nepal. I really enjoyed my stay in Nepal. The nature is unbelievable beautiful. The trek absolutely is doable in those 12 days Jomsom Muktinath trek.
Rajan is a very nice guy. He's doing his job very well, always takes care of me. Kabi is amazing carrying my luggage. I still don't know how he can do this. If he could speak a little better English then I'm sure he's a fun guy to have around. I can totally recommend Visit Himalaya Treks.

We have just returned from 23 days (October 01-2011 to October 23-2011) on trek with Himal and his team, taking in both Dhaulagiri and Annapurna base camps. This was our third trek with Himal and it was every bit as special as the others. His organization, attention to detail and real care for his clients and the porters are excellent.
